365 Bible
Verses: 2009 Daily Boxed Calendar
A beacon of inspiration, a blueprint for
virtuous living. From the case for tolerance in Galatians to
the steadfast faith of John to the appeal for charity in
Proverbs, these ancient words—cited chapter and verse from
the King James version of the Bible—resonate today as
clearly as ever. Ruth declares her unconditional devotion.
Romans counsel mercy and compassion. Isaiah preaches
redemption, Luke recounts the miracle of Christmas, and Psalms
sings with jubilant music. Each day's verse is a motivational
treasure.

The Christian
Virgin of Guadalupe / La Virgen de Guadalupe: 2009 Wall
Calendar
On December 9, 1531, indigenous peasant
Juan Diego encountered a beautiful, dark-skinned woman on
Tepeyac Hill, the former site of an Aztec temple dedicated to
the earth goddess Tonatzin. This mysterious woman identified
herself as the Virgin Mary, and she asked Juan Diego to tell
the bishop of Mexico to build a temple in her honor, so that
she could comfort and defend Mexico’s weak and unfortunate.
Three days later on December 12, the Church accepted the
veracity of Juan Diego’s account, when an image of the
dark-skinned virgin appeared miraculously upon the peasant’s
cloak in the presence of the bishop. Every year on this date
people throughout Mexico honor the Virgin of Guadalupe. This
2009 calendar features depictions of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
This calendar is Spanish/English bilingual.
